LEADERSHIP TRAINING

for the field, court, huddle, classroom, and future.

The Problem

Athletics could be a great place for students
to learn and hone leadership skills, BUT...
learning and practicing leadership needs to be a conscious process!

For too long we've relied on coaches modeling good leadership for athletes, hoping they'll learn through osmosis. Why is this a problem?
We wouldn't expect them to learn their athletic skills the same way we expect them to learn leadership skills.

That's why coaches exist: so athletes don't have to learn everything by copying professionals. If leadership and teamwork is so crucial for success in athletics, why aren't there leadership coaches?
We will work with your players at all levels to learn the basics of leadership and hone their skills over time.

Just as important: we will coach your coaches in how to teach and reinforce leadership.

The Solutions

We work with YOU to design and implement an engaging leadership development program that fits your program's specific needs. From selection of participants to content and structure.

Whether they're small or large groups, on the weekend, early in the morning, during or after school, or over the summer, we'll find a solution that fits your schedules.

We'll cover all this and more!
  • How to select core values that each player internalizes, then build standards and systems around those values.
  • Each player, regardless of skill or position, is a leader on the team and responsible for upholding the standards.
  • Why is it sometimes best to cut your "best" player?
  • Feedback is critical to practicing leadership successfully, but trust needs to come first in order to have candor.

“No man will make a great leader who wants to do it all himself, or to get all the credit for doing it.” - Andrew Carnegie
