Customized solutions to the toughest problems. If your student is struggling in school it can put a strain on the whole family. Defiance, anger, shouting matches, indifference, detention, acting out, vaping; it can feel like you're at the edge of your sanity and that you've tried everything.
We've heard and seen it all, and we might be able to help. Every student is different, therefore every solution needs to be different. Most of the time a student has knowledge but lacks skills, many of which are crucial for success in life. We help students build skills like organization, time management, self-discipline, intrinsic motivation, work ethic, and so many others! |

I’m so thankful that my friend shared Ay to Zee with me! The coach helped my daughter with her college applications (yes she is a procrastinator) and have always been responsive and very helpful. Honestly all students would benefit from meeting with a coach! I wish they had been around for my older children!

Some of The Nuts and Bolts
1. Get to know your student
Every student is different, but we've got a tried and tested system to quickly get to know students. This is what we do in our initial consultation and it takes about an hour. We also have surveys we usually send to parents and students to collect more information!
2. Determine root causes
Fixing the symptom of a problem might lead to short-term success, but it won't lead to long-term consistent success. Often students weren't taught some valuable skills in school and got away without them for years; that's why we often see academic problems surface in late middle school and high school.
Not turning in assignments on time, lying about homework being done, apathy towards school, and defiance are usually just symptoms of something deeper (like the wrong mindset), and we've got experience determining some of these deeper causes.

3. Design and implement solutions
We think outside the box and aren't afraid to suggest a solution that may seem unorthodox to traditional educators. We have a LOT of tools to help us develop and implement solutions, and we're always on the lookout for sources of inspiration and insight.
Implementing solutions is definitely the hardest step in this process, so we try to remove as much friction as possible between your student's current habits and their new ones. We've also found that early buy-in is critical to success in this stage, which is why we need to lay the groundwork early.

4. Evaluate and iterate solutions
Solutions are never going to be perfect right off the bat, and we need to show students that self-improvement is a continuous process requiring iteration and self-evaluation. We're always just a text, email, or call away and are happy to troubleshoot on the fly.
